How to increase Fibre and it's role it plays in your health
The digestive system is the key to good health, with so many diseases stemming from an imbalance between the good and the bad bacteria in the gut.
Mental health, immune function, skin health, energy production and generalised inflammatory conditions such as arthritis can all be influenced by the health of the digestive system.
Making sure that the digestive system is working as it should through all areas from the moment the food enters your mouth to when it leaves the other end, every function that takes place in between needs to be working efficiently for the body to maintain a healthy balance.

Naturopaths Karah Edwards and Lisa Dunlop alongside Nutritionist Sienna Mihaly specialise in digestive conditions and use a combination of functional testing, diet and lifestyle recommendations as well as herbal and nutritional medicine to bring your digestive system back into balance, allowing you to love life bloat friend never having to fear the toilet again.
IBS
An umbrella term for a collections of symptoms including diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain and is often associated with many other conditions such as anxiety and depression, thyroid abnormalities and skin conditions. As Naturopaths we don't believe that IBS is a good enough answer to why your body is displaying these symptoms so we work to get to the root cause of your IBS.
GORD
Correcting stomach acid imbalances is a big part of the work we do when addressing digestion, helping our clients reduce the reliance on medications such as PPI's and ant acids to ensure that we can tolerate a wider range of foods without suffering from any reflux or heartburn.

SIBO
When we see people with IBS we will often test for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). SIBO is a commonality amongst many with IBS and can help us get to the bottom of their symptoms. Putting stratergies in place to manage SIBO long term is key to living a life free of digestive symptoms.
